Recent Young People’s Diet

Introduction
Today, young people’s thinking or values reflect their habits which we call “Youth Culture”. The culture influences Japanese society. It’s therefore interesting to understand what Japanese young people like to do, how they think, and what they believe. To answer some of these questions, I focused on the topic of “Diet “. This topic is particularly interesting to me, because my friends, including me are always dieting. Therefore, I wanted to research in why Japanese young people tend to diet so often.

Survey Method
At first, I made questions that I want to know, and asked 32 college students. 26 students are female and 6 students are male. Many college students are living alone, and some students are living with their parents. I thought that it is different the diet styles between students who are living alone and living with parents. I asked them what they think about diet. I prepared 9 questions for respondents. Then I asked them in the college, and also I asked other college students through the telephone. Everyone answered for the survey readily.
